January 2013, David Harris and Tre’Darrius Anderson of Memphis, Tenn., tied the knot in Washington, D.C., in front of the Lincoln Memorial. This earned them the title as “The Youngest Black Gay Couple to Marry in the United States.”  Both grooms were 19 at the time of their marriage.

David and TreDarrius took the world by storm when their wedding aired on the hit MTV Show “My Teenage Wedding.”

Sadly, Tre’Darrius Anderson suddenly passed in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee on last week. TreDarrius passing came as a shock to all of those who came to know him through his vast social media following and popularity.  

Sympathy poured in locally and from around the world as many were left stunned and filled with sadness. Post after post filled the timelines on social media about his passing and expression of condolences to husband David and TreDarrius’s relatives.

It is with great sadness that we write this article to say our final goodbye to a great young man. That historic day in 2013 when TreDarrius Anderson bravely took on the world and married David Harris we knew resoundingly that “Love Always Wins.”
